You'll have the opportunity to see Black Bears, Moose, Coyotes, and Caribous along your way. Your knowledgable guide will tell you interesting Stories about the Gold Rush, Stanley, Blessing Grave, Lovers Leap and Mexican Hill. This day tour starts and ends in Quesnel.

The tour starts in the morning in Quesnel, a small Logging Town that is claimed to be home to one of the world's largest gold pans. Pickup from Bowron Lake Resort Area available on request.

We will travel on Highway 26, also known as the Barkerville Highway, towards Cottonwood Historic House, a preserved road house on the Gold Rush Trail between Barkerville Historic Town and Quesnel. A guided tour of the historic Road House awaits you. After exploring the site, we'll continue on the Barkerville Highway towards Barkerville with a good chance of Black Bear or Moose sightings. Barkerville is the largest heritage site in Western North America. Founded in 1862, Barkerville is an adventure destination like no other; rich in history, full of life. Meet colourful characters from Barkerville's past, watch Judge Begbie hold Victorian criminals accountable, see authentic gold rush theatre & witness a Cornish Waterwheel in action. Pan for gold, visit exotic Chinatown, go to school 1800s-style, or tour the town at your own pace while visiting 140+ historic buildings & displays. We leave Barkerville in the early afternoon again. On our way back we will make several stops along the Cariboo “Waggon” Road including Stanley, Blessing Grave, Lovers Leap and Mexican Hill, before we arrive back at your hotel just before dinner time.
